The beleaguered Jet Airways which was the longest surviving Indian Airlines for 26 years closed all operations on 17th April 2019, the employees of the Airlines have made an emphathatic appeal to the government for a bailout package as most of them said that they are unable to find any alternate jobs in the current market scenario when unemployment in India is at its highest. The employees are also complaing that they were kept in about the worsening situation of the airline, however a few say to whom The Publish exclusively spoke to said that they have been working for too long for the airline and they can't think of alternate job after 26 years.
Jet Airways require a Bailout package of 983 Crore to resume its operation and a bidding process has already started in which all the major Aviation companies are participating but the process is going atleast a month and the employees who have not got their salaries for two months have nowhere to go and are having sleepless nights thinking how to feed their families. The ground staff, engineers, technician, Pilots and airhostesses of Jet organised a peaceful march in Delhi requesting the government for a bailout package
